After graduating in Piano at Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali Vincenzo Bellini in Catania and in Dams (Art, Music and Performance’s Disciplines) at Bologna University, he studied electronic music with Emanuele Casale and Alessandro Cipriani. He has presented at numerous conferences and workshops and published scientific papers and articles (Acta Acustica, The Journal of the European Acoustics Association (EAA); Rivista Italiana di Acustica; IX International Congress on Musical Signification (ICMS), Acta Semiotica Finnica XXXII: IX International Conference on Music Perception and Cognition (ICMPC), Università di Bologna; International Conference of the IMS (International Musicological Society), Study Group on Musical Iconography in European Art; V Workshop Internazionale sulle Interfacce Multimodali, ENTERFACE ’09, Università degli Studi di Genova – Dist – InfoMus Lab; XII Convegno della Società Italiana di Musicologia; etc.).
